Brandon Lee Roberts is the writer/creator of dark comedy series DON'T YOU WANT ME, about two karaoke-singing serial killers who try their damnedest not to fall in love, for fear of revealing their most hideous secret to the other. DON'T YOU WANT ME was a 2020 quarterfinalist in the Stage 32 Comedy Contest.

Roberts also co-wrote and co-produced MY SUMMER AS A GOTH, a coming-of-age indie feature selected for 15 film festivals in 2019, including opening the Tomorrow's Ghosts goth festival in Whitby, UK. The film was picked up for VOD distribution by 123GO and is available on amazon and iTunes in the US, UK, Germany, and apparently Malaysia.

The script for the Roberts-penned family drama, FOR CHARLES WHO WILL DIE SOMEDAY, placed in the top 10% in the 2018 Nicholls Screenwriting Fellowship and was a quarterfinalist in the 2018 Scriptapalooza contest. Raunchy office comedy pilot RANDY IN HR and horror short script ANYA'S NOT DEAD are also contest semi-finalists. Roberts is currently developing pilots SHELTER (contained post-apocalyptic thriller) and WILDFIRE (dark teen drama), with Emmy-award winning producer Daniel Espy (LIFE BELOW ZERO and PORT PROTECTION), and WITCH CITY PD, a supernatural procedural based in Salem, Mass., with actor/writer/high priestess Andrea Pandazedes.

Roberts spent April 2019 in Paris, France, performing research for an upcoming biopic based on the tragic life of Marie-Therese of France, Marie Antoinette's only surviving daughter (--and a distant relative, turns out). He's currently pitching other-side-of-paradise family dramedy TITA ROSE to Hawaiian-based producers, in addition to completing his first play, 8 PAINTINGS, with the hope of producing it onstage in 2022.

Additional plans for 2021 including developing witch-themed series THE WITCH'S WHEEL: MABON, based on the Wiccan Wheel of the Year, as well as screenplays for dark teen indie drama, THERE IS A LIGHT, and JULI ET JULIET, a gender fluid take on Shakespeare's classic ROMEO AND JULIET.
