About Lanisa

You can watch Lanisa as the supporting lead 'Kimberley'-a shy & mysterious lifeguard keeping a secret from her overly controlling boyfriend, in Renaud Gauthier's campy horror-comedy flick Aquaslash. The film premiered to a sold out audience at the Fantasia Film Festival in July 2019, and as of June 2020 had its theatrical release to drive-in cinemas across multiple countries, now available on Showtime & Amazon Prime Video. Lanisa guest-starred as 'Wendy'-the self assured feminist PhD student in a relationship with a professor twice her age, in award-winning director / filmmaker Ricardo Trogi's new french tv series 'Les Mecs' (available on the platform Ici TOU.TV Extra). She has had recurring principal roles in other notable french web series Oh My Lord! (VRAK TV) playing 'Dorothy'-a British hotel maid turned celebrity YouTuber, and as 'Sandra'-the overly obnoxious millennial in L'ascenseur (Ici TOU.TV).

Other film and TV credits include Daniel Roby's 'Most Wanted', Patricia Chica's 'Montreal Girls', CBC television 'The Detectives', and a number of festival circulating short films. Lanisa has also used her voice for radio ad campaigns / commercials, and corporate video narrations.

Where it all started:

In 2014, Lanisa was hired by an overseas entertainment company as 'Resident Actress' during a one year tenure. Throughout the year with the company, she portrayed a variety of colourful characters while touring & performing pantomime style theatre all over Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangzhou China. Lanisa was also a workshop facilitator, leading drama programs for youth.

She started out in the Montreal musical theatre scene in 2010, performing in shows at the Centaur, Segal Centre, and Rialto Theatre. She studied classical acting full-time for two years at Dawson College's Professional Theatre Program, and continued with advanced training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, graduating with an 'Intensive Summer Conservatory Diploma' in 2013.
