About Jeff
Born into a strict Christian household in the city that gave birth to the term, “Country Grammar” (ya dig). Jeffery Thompson is so St.Louis through and through. Athletically gifted, after playing college football and not making the NFL, he traveled the world living in seven countries coaching and playing American Football and winning three championships along the way. It was on this journey he began to explore his inner childhood love of films,tv, and video games thus turning his passion into a career in game development/filmmaking. After working in the game industry for years he noticed there were not a lot of blacks in the industry (only 2%). Thus, he founded Epoch Media Studios to be a voice for the black community within the games industry. His personal philosophy was to create games with transmedia IP to leverage them to become film/tv series. In their early lifecycle they've raised 132,500 through accelerators. As of recent, Epoch Media was selected for the Digital Dragons Game Accelerator which is the premiere game event in Poland and the UK Games Fund. He's secured representation by the world's top talent agency, CAA. They're developing a 3rd person stealth action game (Pensions) and have signed a TV production deal with Marginal Media Works for Pensions to become a TV series.When he’s not writing video games, film/tv series, he’s admiring his collection of toys, or reading his graphic novels. He’s also an avid gamer having been ranked number 7 in the world in team deathmatch in Gears 5.
