Pierre Charles is a Los Angeles-based jazz pianist and film composer. He began his professional career leading his own jazz group, The New Standard Quartet, in 2012, and it was also around this time Charles started the Pierre Charles Trio.
Charles has received his Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Michigan State University and is currently pursuing his Master's of Music from the University of Southern California. Charles has performed with notable jazz icons such as Rodney Whitaker, Jason Marsalis, Michael Dease, Sean Dobbins, and Diego Rivera. Charles has also produced and scored for two independent films, and is currently working on his third film.
