I was born in Gräfelfing near Munich in 1977. My mother moved to Hamburg, when I was six years old. I attended a high school there, then moved to a university in Nürnberg at the age of 19, which I never completed. Subsequently I moved to Berlin to establish some sort of independent life, which of course turned out to be more than challenging considering our modern society. Living as a retired person now, it’s more about surviving a game, which rules yet remain unclear.
The situation here in Europe differs from the US. You get money regardless if you work or not. But the European culture is a culture of systems, whereas the US is more about living your dreams. I feel like David Lynch misunderstood by the Americans while revered in Europe. It’s the other way round for me.
