About Pauline

After working as a freelance writer for over 20 years, I have pivoted to develop my own original works that have languished in a pile at the back of my home office.

Crossing several genres, completed or near completion are a short novel, children's book and two full length screenplays with outlines - one, a collection of psychological horror shorts, the other, full of action and drama in the disaster movie genre.

Currently, I am also working to build a network of associates and deciding which route to take in order to have my eclectic collection published and produced.
,
I have completed several short stories and have five more in my bailiwick. It has surprised me that I have the ability to write a delightful story and a horror short that will make the viewer cringe and perhaps stay away from certain establishments for a while. I can also write about a fictional girl growing up and a serial short sci-fi story that invents a whole other dimension along with a thriller told from the killer's point of view.

My mind is running constantly, writing every moment I get. I write everything in my head before I type a word. For example, I can 'see' the six psychological horror shorts from start to finish. However, I am not 'married' to my writing. Once it is given to a producer, while I would like to have further input as the project progresses but you are not getting a screenwriter or author who is going to blow up at the way you do things. Hey, I'm even up for a rewrite, if necessary.

Putting in the time to study other scripts in the same genres of mine has been well invested as has over 47 years of reading books from every genre both new works and classics. It has assisted me in every aspect of my writing. For example, I have actual people (who are very kind friends to lend me their talent) run lines with one another so I can ascertain how the dialogue sounds outside of my head. Their time has made me a better writer. I am still editing, which means what I write can always made better.

Unique traits: A newly discovered ability to write across various genres, from children's books to psychological horror to a spiritual journey. I hope to turn this advantageous ability into a full time career because the ideas keep coming and my fingers keep gliding over the keys.
