About Sonali

Sonali Sundararaj is an Indian Filmmaker and Producer whose work in the Indian TV industry earned her recognition at the young age of 22. She holds a Masters Degree in Broadcast Communication and has produced several episodes of television for Fox-owned Star Vijay TV before making the move to Hollywood. Titles produced by her include acclaimed shows like Olli Belly, Oru Varthai Oru Latcham, Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai, Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi, and many others. In addition to episodic television, she has also coordinated multiple major award shows like the Idea Filmfare Awards, Vijay Awards, and Vijay Television Awards.

In 2015, she moved to Los Angeles where she obtained a Certification in Producing at UCLA and soon after, began her career in Hollywood working on TV shows like American Crime Story: Versace, Mayans MC, For All Mankind, and feature film The Prom, while also producing short films that have been screened at multiple festivals. In 2017, she expanded her resume to include Virtual Reality when she joined the team at BibleVR, the worlds first and largest live-action virtual reality bible library. She is associated with the Indian Film Festival of LA and the Independent Spirit Awards where she serves on the Nominations team. She is currently on the team for the 2021 Spirit Awards while developing and producing independent projects.
