About me. I guess my fifteen minutes of fame is being a glorified extra in Sam Raimi's ARMY OF DARKNESS. I'm credited as Henry's Man and I'm the guy running away and getting an arrow in the back. That was my first time on a film set and it shows. I was Script Dept. Manager at Hollywood Book and Poster Company for several years. RIP Eric Caidin. I was the Lead Movie Coder at OTX for ten years. OTX became IPSOS OTX and then MPG WORLDWIDE MOTION PICTURE GROUP. After the bosses disappeared in the middle of the night I ended up as a coder at Screen Engine/ASI. As far as as writing goes I optioned a screenplay to Jeff Balis of "Waiting" and his partner Rhoades Rader of "Dodgeball". Sadly it never went anywhere. Nowadays I am writing my own brand of movie - very serious sarcastic comedies.Currently on unemployed and working part time as the SAG strike hit movie research hard.
Hi Michael Kenney! Thanks for sharing your background, it's so cool that you worked with Sam Raimi! What's your newest script about that you're working on?
Hi, Emily. I'm returning to work on a World War II Christmas comedy-adventure which I set aside a few years ago. I'm also working on a giallo dark comedy.
Ww2 Christmas comedy adventure thats loaded and sounds cool
Great to meet you, Michael Kenney. I've been planning to watch ARMY OF DARKNESS again. I'll look for you in it.
Just wanted to brag that my screenplay, HOT ROD MONSTERS, just got a 9.5 and a RECOMMEND in the 1st round of the Fall DIVERSE VOICES screenwriting contest. The critic called it a "cult classic".
Hot damn.
Who's better than you? That is why I love Stage32 it helps us with our projects. Congrats.
Well, the opening week box office disaster for The Marvels has now become even worse, a lot worse! If there is going to be a "Global Matriarchy Takeover" of the box office, it seems that it's going to require a different course than the one the industry is currently on.

I keep reading good things about "The Marvels" and plan to see it soon, so if there's a problem at the boxoffice its probably superhero movie fatigue.

Michael Kenney I for one am tired of the Marvel thing. I never thought I'd ever say that. Ever. But then again, Chris Evans isn't Captain America anymore and Black Widow is dead. :)...

My view of the "Global Matriarchy Takeover" of the box office, is that if it does happen, it won't be through gender-swapping, but rather by making films for a female audience that respect the interests of that audience. Crazy, I know.

Boobs and model figures, one-dimensional female characters, helpless and need saving, boobs and model figured women who fawn over non-modeled figured men who are 50 years older than them ... Yea, that's why Barbie effing rocked and pretty much all of womenkind saw it at least three times in the theater.
