Joshua Tindall

I'm Joshua Tindall, a musician, sound designer and recordist from Sydney, Australia, currently based in Berlin.

My first attempt at recording my own music using my first digital piano and a basic midi interface as a Christmas gift for my family and friends was extremely successful. Listening back to this CD, I can find many faults but I can also hear where I've improved, especially becoming more proficient with the tools I use. My family and friends never said anything bad about the music I recorded on that CD, that's a positive right? Anyway, since then I've gone on to play in various bands ranging from jazz fusion through to pop including many other genres.

Over the last few years, I've been working on my composition and music production skills while building a basic audio recording rig that allows me to do decent quality remote recordings. I'm a firm believer in getting it right at the source unless the sound I'm aiming for isn't physically achievable without post-production, I do my best to avoid it. In regards to software, I use Logic Pro, Pro Tools First and occasionally GarageBand.

After finishing university in 2014, I’ve lived in 3 different countries and have travelled to over 25 more countries around the world. I’ve met many amazing people who have encouraged me to follow my passion, never give up and focus on happiness. These people continue to provide endless support, inspiration and encouragement to pursue my career in the music industry.
