Leszek’s multifaceted entertainment career began at the BBC in London where he assisted directors such as Stephen Frears and Mike Leigh and worked with writers including Tom Stoppard and Alan Bennett. Subsequently, he has worked in radio, film, TV and theater. Most notably, Leszek assisted director, Christopher Morahan, at the Royal National Theatre on a new play by Robert Bolt, which was produced by Harold Pinter. Leszek co-founded film production company, “The Winning Team,” with multi-award winning producer, Terrance Sweeney. Together they executive produced “Bhopal: A Prayer For Rain,” which was shot on location in India and Los Angeles and was released in the U.S, in November 2015. It stars Martin Sheen, Kal Penn, Mischa Barton and Rajpal Yadav, When “Wooly Boys,” an independent feature film Leszek directed starring Peter Fonda, Kris Kristofferson and Keith Carradine, was released by Lion’s Gate it was the #2 highest grossing film in the U.S. for two weeks. Leszek writes and directs documentaries as well. One of these, “A Line in the Sand,” opened at the Laemmle Theater in Santa Monica, and another, “Living Life Forwards,” which he also hosted, was filmed in the South Pacific and is being represented worldwide by Octapixx. At the end of 2014, Leszek co-wrote and directed a short dramatic feature entitled, “Flying South.” It was filmed in New Zealand using technology developed for the three “Hobbit” movies, and was completed at Sir Peter Jackson’s Park Road post-production facility in Wellington with an original music score performed by the Christchurch Symphony and written by Mark Smythe. As an actor, Leszek played the “Nature Expert” opposite the Gecko in a series of 6 commercials for Geico and performed 7 radio spots. Among others, he also voiced a series of anti-smoking radio spots, the voices of Paddington Bear and the Cabbie in Leapfrog’s 50th Anniversary talking book, and was the TV voice of Atlantis Resorts & Casinos for more than 4 years.
