Chronicles the heartbreaking experience of abuse, addiction, recovery and relapse through the lens of a young woman, who’s relationships become increasingly strained by the latter's drug addiction.

SYNOPSIS:

A five-part miniseries, showcasing the raw and emotional journey of abuse, addiction, and mental health. Marie Thomas is a young woman from a privileged yet messy and traumatic upbringing. Marie’s father was a harsh man who ignored her while her mother was an abusive partier who always had a string of young and slimy lovers. Traumatized at an early age by her father’s neglectfulness, and her mother’s cruel abuse, Marie started to use drugs and alcohol as a way to escape. Eventually, Marie’s vices become full-blown addictions the summer of her 19th birthday at their vacation home in Italy, when her mother’s abuse escalates and her new boyfriend also starts abusing her. Leading Marie down a destructive path into addiction, and severe substance abuse that threatens not only to destroy her life but everyone else’s around her.
