About Me:
I'm hyper-creative and do a myriad of things. I'm a theatre professor, theatre director, speaker, author, playwright, artist, singer/songwriter, podcast host, blogger, a Color Code Certified Independent Trainer and Creativity expert. I'm an idea person and I generate so many ideas I can't get them on paper fast enough! Some make my handy-dandy notebook and some don't.
I have a bachelor's and masters degree and both are in Communication & Theatre Arts. I also hold an Executive Certificate in Negotiations from Notre Dame. And I'm looking at classes all the time because I love learning!
I've written five plays and four of them don't stink! I've also written short stories, articles, numerous academic papers, I'm currently turning a stage play into a sceenplay, co-writing a novel and finishing a children's book. My most recent work of art is a chapter in The Change --a book about self-empowerment. I'm so happy to be included in the book and happy to know the wisdom of Jim Britt and Jim Lutes. My chapter is entitled You're Already A Masterpiece and is about seeing yourself as God's masterpiece.
When I'm not directing the theatre program at Carl Sandburg College, I speak about my creative life, my passion for helping others find their big ideas and my joy in speaking, writing and training. And when there's any time remaining, I work in my studio creating beautiful things for sale in my Etsy shops and . I share the rest of my house with Molly, my 13 year-old four-legged child.
Unique traits: I look at scripts from a directing, acting, design and writing perspective for a comprehensive analysis. I get to the point and quickly.
