William L. Whitacre is a producer, an actor, and earned a vested pension from the Directors Guild of America as a production manager. He has produced in various capacities from EP, Supervising Producer and Associate Producer on distributed films with Ernest Borgnine, Danny Glover, Mickey Rooney, Michael Winslow, Julie Harris, and many others. As an entertainment lawyer Mr. Whitacre has represented feature films shot in Hong Kong and Vancouver, as well as throughout the United States and has projects in development in Brazil, Mexico, and Israel. He created the business and equity structures, and has the attorney screen credit for The Blair Witch Project. He has participated in many major film industry events as a panelist and lecturer, including the Hollywood Film Festival, ShowBizExpo LA and NYC, and has been quoted in Forbes Magazine['s 2000 Annual Investment Guide on investing in independent film. He specializes in strategic representation of production companies from development through distribution, providing legal, and often producer services. He is also an award winning stage actor, and has appeared in US Army training films, as well as a featured extra and supporting actor in feature films.
