JOE D’AMBROSI - BIO
Joe D’Ambrosi began his career at the early age of twelve, playing accordion in Italian restaurants on Long Island, NY. For the next several years, Joe worked as a Keyboardist and Musical Director for several groups crossing many genres, including Rock, Gospel, R&B, Blues, Funk, Jazz, Reggae, and Electronica. He has worked with and shared the stage with artists including Shannon (Let the Music Play), Little Anthony and the Imperials, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Foreigner, Don Henley, Ric Ocasek (The Cars), Carly Simon, and Gospel artists Richard Smallwood, Jesse Dixon and Danniebelle Hall. He also played the Hammond B-3 organ and keyboards in several concerts with Grammy Award winner Phil Driscoll, including on the Grammy nominated live concert album, ‘Warriors.” In addition to his work as a musician, Joe also has experience behind the scenes. He served as the Road Manager and Technical Director for VH-1's flagship comedy show, Best Week Ever LIVE, overseeing all aspects of the national tour (2007 – 2008).
Currently, Joe is an ASCAP writer who composes music for North Shore Soundworks, in Deer Park, NY, which provides music for television shows such as The Jerry Springer Show, MTV’s Girl Code/Guy Code and many others. He is also in the final stages of recording his first solo album, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2017. In addition, Joe is working towards completing a Bachelor’s Degree with Berklee Online for Electronic Music Production and Sound Design.
