Kudzai Chikomo

I am passionate about using new media and creative arts for positive social transformation. My goal is to create content, which makes people reflect about the condition of the world around them and inspire them to take appropriate action to make it better. I believe, as a filmmaker, I have an obligation to create work which captures the state of society and raise consciousness of issues that we take for granted but are important in our quest for sustainable development. I believe development starts with a reflection of who we are and where we are. Good content allows us to reflect on the condition of our world and stimulates dialogue for positive transformation. I like documenting positive narratives about Africa, stories of hope, courage and resilience. I’m a creative person who is able to work independently and also within a team. I enjoy problem solving and have good leadership and organisational skills. I’m very much involved in the production process, from conceptualisation, operating the camera to editing.
