About Roberto

Mitrotti founded RPM Media in New York, a digital media company to produce documentaries and TV programs.

Wrote and directed the series Rock Revolutions – based on the premise that rock-‘n’-roll brought down the Berlin Wall – which aired in over 20 countries.

Wrote and directed Sylvia’s Path, (hosted and produced by the Bill Cosby Foundation), airing on PBS about a German woman ‘s efforts to build a monastery in the Himalayas to house Tibetan refugees.

Wrote and directed Whose Dam Business is it? aired on Italian LA SETTE TV Network, about the building of the largest dam in the world on China’s Yangtze River.

Produced and hosted the popular series, The Compulsive Traveler, aired on CBS topping a 4.5 rating and an 11 share from 2002 to 2007 with the highest Nielsen ratings of any comparable show.

Mitrotti’s programs have aired domestically on ABC, CNN, CNBC, the FOX Network as well as Discovery, TLN and EWTN and worldwide, on BBC and Channel 4 in England, La Cinq, Canal Jimmy and KTO in France, La Sette in Italy, YLE in Finland, RTSI in Switzerland, SABC in South Africa, TVP in Poland, TV Luna of Slovakia, Tel Ad in Israel, OyTV in Iceland, Imagen TV in Argentina, EATV in Russia, Chinese TV Network in Hong Kong, Visual Mandiri TV in Indonesia, Q Channel in South Korea, Global Japan in Japan, CLT in Germany and Indian TV.

Mitrotti co-wrote the screenplay for the 20th Century Fox movie, The Secret Diary of Sigmund Freud, that starred Carol Kane, Bud Cort, Marisa Berenson and Klaus Kinsky.

In 2015, he wrote and directed Stealing Chanel, a feature-length romantic story set in New York in worldwide distribution through Lifetime Entertainment and A&E Networks. A selection for the Carmel International Film Festival. It won Best Director at the International Film Festival of Manhattan.

Currently developing a TV series called Runway Coyotes based on the characters of the film.

In development on an animated adventure film in partnership with Koa Productions in Kobe, Japan called Shu and the Resistance about children’s treacherous relationship to sugar.
