Madelyn Murphy

Hey, nice to meet you! I'm Madelyn, and I act, improvise, and write. I have been formally trained at Stella Adler's enhanced summer conservatory in New York City, as well as Chicago's Black Box Studio. I have 7+ years of acting experience in both on-camera and onstage work.

Besides scripted acting, I am also a professional improviser, and perform regularly at the Annoyance Theatre, the Second City, and the iO. One ensemble I am in, HitchCocktails, was voted the #1 improv troupe in the city by the 2016 Chicago Reader.

As an avid writer, I have written and produced three musicals for the Annoyance Theatre, and several episodes of an upcoming web series called Geek Lounge. If you run into me, I'm probably scribbling ideas down while spilling coffee on myself.
