About Lasta

I'm a veteran television producer, writer, artist and podcast host. Starting my career at CNN, I transitioned into documentary programming joining acclaimed reality production shingle, 44 Blue Productions. There I produced hundreds of hours of television covering a range of topics (prisons, true crime, home makeover shows, etc.) for numerous networks (A&E, Discovery, MSNBC, Nickelodeon, TNT). I have developed, pitched, directed and edited many unscripted series. With storytelling being at the core of what I do, it was a natural transition to get into scripted television. I currently have a TV series pilot and show bible for COUCH CANYON (Logline: On the heels of the Summer of Love, a young Midwestern psychotherapist moves to 1970s Los Angeles for his first job in “Couch Canyon,” the storied avenue where shrinks treat the Hollywood elite. It doesn’t take him long to learn that here the lines are blurred between therapist and patient, treatment and abuse, encounter groups and group sex — and the stakes are as high and precarious as Mulholland Drive. I also have a series bible for SHINE (Logline: A bi-racial family of rodeo and cirque performers struggle to open a circus school while dealing with their hopes, inadequacies, and strained relationships and showing the enduring power of love, loyalty and forgiveness). GANG OF DRONES (Logline: A brilliant and perverse killer has devised an ingenious method to tag, hunt and murder his victims using drones modified with lethal weapons), is a script I co-wrote and we were Semi-Finalists in the Slamdance Screenplay Competition in the horror/thriller category. We partnered with Rally Studios who are the masterminds behind the bowling alley drone video that went viral. So who wants a kick ass techno-thriller?!? Let me know!
