I think of my life as the 1st half (so far) growing up and entirely focused upon getting a place at one of the (then 5) accredited drama schools in London, and then the 2nd half (so far) whereby I left drama school (an accredited London drama school that had nominated me as the one student to recieve a scholarship for the 1st year) and the acting world entirely, which was all I had wanted! My sudden and dramatic departure from the comfort zone of what I knew, was almost an act of rebellion. I found drama school creatively stifling and I wanted to be free, so as to experience as much of life as possible, seeing the world and gaining the life-experience so essential to an actor.
So I return to the acting world almost 20 years after leaving it behind and in the last year my successes have been exponential. Due to my experience in the corporate world (namely recruitment, sales, marketing, raising finance) I found I had the ability to Produce my own material and so I recruited great filmmakers and my team went on to win Eindhoven 48 hour film project 2017 having narrowly missed winning Rotterdam 48 hour film project 3 months prior. It was these successes that granted an exclusive invitation to HP Masters of Short Film whereby my team were finalists and our short film was premiered at Cannes Film Festival and more recently the short has been selected for the Polish Film Festival in Hollywood, LA. Due to these acting credits which were listed on IMDb I was able to join Spotlight. I invite you to view my showreel which uses clips from my own produced work over the last half of 2017.
