Chennai-based techie Manoj Annadurai's debut feature film, Get Happy, has won USA's prestigious Remi Award, which recognizes excellence in independent films and filmmaking.
The film won the Gold Remi at the 49th WorldFest Houston International Film Festival this April. A movie buff and self-learner, Manoj had given up a lucrative career to pursue his passion for films.
Get Happy is an interesting story about life’s ups and downs, and how you will never fully appreciate the ups, unless you have some downs. The film has won more laurels too. It has won the Best Romantic Comedy at the Manhattan Film Festival. It was an official selection at the Montreal Film Festival.
Emmy nominee Allison Tartalia has scored the music.
