Matthew Esterhuizen

My name is Matthew Esterhuizen and I am a live action director and Veteran CGI Artist.

Why is this cool?

Well it means when I direct I know how to incorporate the VFX whilst shooting and that can save loads of time and money in the post production phase.

So am I good with clients?

Well the straight answer is yes! I have worked with many brands over my 18 years in the industry and I have learned how important it is to have a great relationship with everyone in the Team, it helps in communication and avoids things getting messy when a client is throwing last minute changes just before the deadline.

So what is my Experience?

I started as a 3d and motion graphics artist working in South Africa and after some time I moved to London to see if I could work with the big leagues. I can proudly say I have worked my way up into Directing for Adidas, Nike, Jaguar,Land Rover , Saatchi & Saatchi and several others. I have also scooped up an a award here and there for various small short projects.

What do you do when your not Directing?

I work as a hired gun and love to swing from studio to studio putting out fires and learning new software along the way. As a rule head up VFX and motion graphics teams in London based studios as I love the coffee in Soho!
