About Zack

I'm a resident playwright and director of New Work at Three Brothers Theater. I'm a 2021 O'Neill Finalist, Bay Area Playwrights Festival semi-finalist, and Blue Ink Playwriting Award semi-finalist. My work has been produced, performed, developed, or read by Three Brothers Theater, The Apartment Showcase, Possibilities Theater Company, Unheard Of Company, The New Colony, Jackalope Theater, Intrinsic Theater Company, Chicago Dramatists, Broken Bell Reads, and others.
I'm a co-founder of the independent film production company Major Anxiety Pictures, my short film GREETINGS FROM THE MOON was showcased in 2020 at First Time Filmmakers Launchpad and RATFest, my feature script FAT GIRL GETS REVENGE was a 2018 second runner up at The Second City's Feature Comedy Script Contest, and I've produced five other short films.
My fiction, non-fiction, essays, and poetry has appeared in XRAY Lit Mag, Occulum Journal, Back Patio Press, Memoir Mixtapes, Show Your Skin, The Sandy River Review, Eunoia Review, Every Day Fiction, Toasted Cheese Magazine, formercactus, Kalonopia Collective, Water Soup Press, Chicago Literati, and others.
