Jaena Sta. Ana is a Bay Area filmmaker, producer and director, interested
in uncommon stories told with originality. Jaena's recent endeavours include working as Production Assistant for Star Wars Detours at Lucasfilm Animation, Industrial Light & Magic, and freelancing as a producer
of independent short films. She currently works for Robot Chicken/Stoopid Buddy Stoodios.
Jaena has produced media in the realm of commericals, company videos, and most of all Independent films. Her commercial for Drive a Bike, was used for Breathe
California, to promote their Bike to Work campaign. Jaena's current work includes, Lockwood, a 1920's thriller, about a young writer who goes back to his home town to investigate a murder. Lockwood is currently making it's film festival run.
Jaena’s directorial debut,
Catch the Clock, explores the secret life of Azra, a secluded mortician,
who comes to life through what she knows best — death. Catch the Clock is an Official Selection at the New York City International Film Festival and the NYC Indie Fest.
Jaena has a B.S. in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production and lives San Francisco, California.
