Donny Walker

Donny Walker is composer/arranger/orchestrator & creative director for Mind Exchange Music LLC, an upcoming local music agency for film, video, theatre, sound & live/studio music production. Within the last two years he’s custom designed, performed and produced music for over 16 short films. Currently he's half way through his second feature length film and has created original musical cues for 2 entire theatre shows. He is weirdly obsessed with designing multi-disciplinary orchestral productions but is also a passionate educational and record producer as well. You can virtually interact with his music in live time, on a daily basis at The DuPage Children’s Museum, at their 2 year exhibit 'Art Is Instrumental’ and just last year he designed an all brass show for North Eastern Illinois University (3 brass choirs/70+ players) for brass fest 2017. His works have been performed & premiered all over the country and he’s thrilled to contribute to ACM’s sound of silent film again :-) Notable compositions include his World Music Percussion Concerto (1 soloist playing over 70 instruments), a narrated guitar concerto & fantasy for clarinet and orchestra, amidst piles of others. His sheet music (originals, arrangements, adaptations & editorials, etc) has been placed in front of: The Chicago Symphony, Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, Bari Symphony, Chicago Jazz Ensemble, Lake County Civic Orchestra, Full Score Chamber Orchestra & many well known Chicago Organizations. He studied with the CSO, CJE & Lyric Opera and is a past performer with national talent including: Aretha Franklin, HARPO, The O’Jays, The Dells.
