Emily Isaacs

Growing up in a West End advertising photography studio, with both parents in the advertising industry, I was immersed in the cultural and creative industries from a young age. After a seven year career in child modelling, I went on to study English Literature, Psychology and Drama at A-level. Although I wanted to study Drama and English Literature, I was steered to take double Music A-level in a gap year. From there, I was advised to go to Trinity College of Music to study a BMus, but had to leave due to health issues. While I was at home rethinking things, I fell pregnant, so have taught the 'cello and piano peripatetically for twenty years while raising my family. A period of illness between 2009-2014 saw me bedbound, so I completed an English Literature degree, returning to my first academic love.

Now fully recovered, I am completing an MA in Cultural and Creative Industries at Sussex University, and I joined Drop Dead Films in 2017 to produce their first feature film, 13 Graves. I have recently started my own production company, Scriptworks Productions Ltd.

I live in Eastbourne, Sussex, UK, with my husband (an editor), our two children who have autism, and two older children from a previous relationship.
