Claire Brooks is a writer and creative producer from New York City. She is a graduate of NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she designed an interdisciplinary degree titled Film, Storytelling, and the Global Imagination. Claire worked on the creative marketing campaigns for The Lorax, Despicable Me 2, and The Secret Life of Pets at Illumination Entertainment, the animation division of NBC Universal. Claire also worked on the global marketing partnership campaigns for the National Basketball Association, and has produced multiple million dollar experiential campaigns for Google, Nike, and Samsung. At the age of 28, Claire founded SuperSwell, a creative production company and consultancy.
Claire was the Managing Director of LA art collective cARTel where she produced over 3 dozen pop-ups, experimental plays, and site-specific art installations. She was the a lead Producer of the beloved indie music festival Brokechella (now Broke LA) between 2011 - 2015. Claire has also produced over a dozen short films, which have screened at over 35+ film festivals around the world.
Claire is currently an MFA Film Candidate at Columbia University where she sits on the Interdisciplinary Arts Council and will serve as the 2018 - 2019 Columbia University Film Festival Screenwriting Fellow. When she's not planning world domination, you can find her practicing yoga, making Spotify playlists, or pretending to be a sommelier.
