Stephen Foster
An acting quote that I found inspiring.

"There is someone in the audience tonight who auditioned me 30 years ago, and told me I was untalented and unphotogenic and I should quit trying to be an actress. Well, 30 years later, here I am, Emmy in hand. I won’t mention your name. But you know who you are. And you WILL be in The Book!"

@Olyvia I really feel for this little girl, but luckily she has a core of steel. She will look back on the school bullying when older and feel stronger because she will be where she is ...and they wil...

Keep at it Olyvia! My now 20 year old beautiful daughter was teased mercilessly in middle school for being tall (she was an early bloomer, now she is barely 5'2"!), but was so beautiful that she secur...

Kelley Christene Watson - I sure hate hearing when children get picked on...I was one of them myself as a child (I developed at 10 - overnight lol). Heck, I even see it going on in the adult world smh...

I think you are doing the right things. Everyone who knows me and my daughter says Cat (my daughter) is so normal and grounded. She is now in a pre- veterinary program at UC Davis, studying to be a large animal vet. go figure. I am sure you will support Olyvia's dreams. Good luck in L.A.

Olyvia Bollin

Aw, thanks...you're so kind! Being grounded is important. Olyvia went into this with the determination that she was going to make money to help with her college fund (she wants to be a pediatric neuro...

Final Draft

What is your record number of rewrites for a screenplay until finally getting to the final draft? I'm currently on my 9th revision of my spec script. Is that a lot or not?

Matthew H Emma

For the one script I managed to sell, I did 13 rewrites. For all the ones I haven't been so fortunate on yet, they are all well into double digits. I would say I couldn't give what an exact number should be, only keep at until you feel it's right.

James Drago

I once did 7. That made me try to make the first draft of the next one tighter.

Tshepiso Mahlangu

I am on the 12th draft currently, have been writing this piece since 2010. And the current version is very exciting. I can't wait to see this baby on screen.

Eric Christopherson

My record is 15 drafts, but the sad thing is, I knew it needed more work after about draft 9 but couldn't figure out what to do for over 6 months. (Happy ending, though, but that's a story for another time.)

Getting my feet wet...

At 41 years of age, I am finally realizing my passion of acting doesn't have to be a dream. All through school I was in theatre productions and student films and often asked if I would major in theater or drama. Much to my dismay, I was put off this area of focus from many family members who were af...
