I am hoping that someone can please assist me.
I have written a book which I am wanting to take to the big screen. The book needs to be edited as it needs to be completely fictitious and non-identifiable. It was published by Amazon, but I withdrew it since it was just too identifiable.
Because I lived through it and wrote the book, I really don’t have the emotional energy to rewrite it myself. Besides a scriptwriter would be required.
It is a romantic drama - something like Kramer vs Kramer but with more twists and turns, many layers and many isms!
I would like to sell my story to someone in the film industry who will take it from there. I do not have the funds to do it any other way. I do believe that it has a fighting chance to be a best seller and will have wide appeal. I have been encouraged to do this by so many people who have walked my journey with me.
Perhaps I could get a small % of royalties. All of that is negotiable.
I do have a prepared treatment, so I am armed with the full content. It is my intention that this hits the circuit on world screens. I believe in my heart that it will be a massive success.
It is set in South Africa just pre democracy which is hugely significant to the plot.
I am negotiable on figures but please understand I am selling my life rights and unable to put any money into it and that includes the script writing.
I am looking for an established reputable production company who has all the backing and team players required.
