I am a Cambodian-American, composer of audio worlds, plucker of strings, designer of frequencies, breaker of boundaries, idealist of ideas, soldier of sounds, intersector of disciplines. When I’m not putting my own sounds to picture, I’m playing the supporting roles to get the job done: music editing, mixing, sound design, orchestration, arranging, transcriptions, audio restoration, etc.
Sometimes, I need to get out of the studio, so I'm a sound recordist on set once in awhile. It keeps the blood flowing. Also, teaching has always been a big part of my life. Sharing my music and experiences with others in person is just another way that I get to connect with people.
My creative itch is never ending and I'm always hungry to learn, and so every chance I get, I'm exploring whatever peaks my curiosity. Lately, I’ve been recording ordinary sounds, and finding ways to use them in unexpected ways in order to create something completely different, which I believe is core purpose of any art ~ to show beauty in the ordinary. And on that note, stay tuned for some exciting new sample libraries in the works!
