Jemma Hooper

Jemma Hooper is a composer, music producer, video editor, video game audio full-service provider who has written and produced short films, pitched show-bibles to studio execs. For the last three years she has been studying for a Bachelor of Music with a GPA of 6.5 out of 7.0 as her university measures such things. Her minors are in principal practice as a composer, music production and film studies. As such, Jemma has a both a technical and artistic understanding of the process of shooting pictures for the moving frame, being active in the Adelaide amateur film-making scene between 2011 and 2014..

Jemma started gender transition in 2017, and as a result of workplace discrimination in the IT industry, was forced to take time out and reassess her career objectives. Given the discrimination faced by more audibly/visibly trans people, the choice of industry really matters little, so Jemma has decided to commit to creative endeavours - either in music, video games or film/tv as a composer, audio producer or writer/producer.

Jemma is open to in-person collaborations in the Adelaide area, and would love the opportunity to write a score for your video and video game projects, or to work as a video editor/writer wherever in the world you might be.
