Nonprofit founder of MeTooWhatNow that moves beyond #MeToo by focusing on 'What Now', empowering survivors to break free of fear, shame, and stigma. The organization's mission, 'To empower, inspire, and teach survivors of childhood sexual abuse to conquer the effects of fear, shame, and dysfunction to live with power, purpose, and identity.'
In 2016 I filed a public lawsuit against through the Supreme Court in British Columbia, Canada against the school board, and the teacher who sexually abused me for two years, most of my classmates, and many other boys for at 5 more years.
I'm writing a script for my first documentary chronicling my journey of facing trauma over 40 years later and going through a public lawsuit in the hopes of gaining a sense of justice and for healing. The title is 'Justice (f)or Freedom.' The question is, does a lawsuit bring justice and healing?
