Launching a campaign over the holiday season was a rookie mistake. We didnt get nearly as much as expected. But you live and learn. Either way IndieGoGo offers flex funding so the funds we do get will help out. Maybe we will give it another crack at it this summer.
Check it out here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/maritime-metal-documentary
Check out our second IndieGoGo Campaign video. https://igg.me/at/DHZ44XFQsL0 Take a look at our IndieGoGo page, if you like what you see please Fund and Share.

Subject is the Metal Scene that I was part of in my 20s before moving to Montreal. We are going to look at the differences of how bands and fans connected over time, from tape trading in the 90s, using the internet for the first time in the 2000s and then into the social media era of today. Check it out if your interested.

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB

Expand commentHey Billy Stever, John Trigonis here, author of CROWDFUNDING FOR FILMMAKERS (https://goo.gl/xZmls4) and former Film Strategist at Indiegogo (now freelance consulting and managing). If you're looking to do a followup campaign for your documentary, hit me up and I can send you some consulting rates and we can see if we can get a bit more funding than the $2,000 you walked away from Indiegogo with. (Congrats on that!) There are definitely a few other "mistakes" here (which I cover extensively in this video I did for Film Courage, so check it out: https://goo.gl/TEIhMB) aside from launching too close to the holidays that, if remedied, could lead to raising further funds in a second, properly strategized 2.0 MARITIME METAL campaign.
