I am a retired Episcopal Priest with a background in theatre. In fact, in churches I have served I have written and performed comedy sketches as sermons. I joined a local troupe of actors and improvisers and sketch comedians and have been concentrating on writing sketches and one act plays. Most recently, I have written my first full length comedy and adapted it into a screenplay, title, “ANGELS IN GANGLAND.: A Supernatural Gangster Comedy-drama about a slain mobster who must redeem himself of his life in crime by persuading his killer to leave the mob and turn state's evidence against the mob in the Witness Protection Program. I tried to get the play performed in-person, but due to Covid had to settle for a Zoom production. For this I formed my own company "Creative Theatrix LLC." The production went beautifully with a cast that is just itching to do it live. Now I am shopping and pitching the screenplay, thanks to Stage 32.
