I think it’s a fortuitous sign if your first money making venture of the year is in your chosen field. This was my view last night while recording the nominee narration for this year’s Parnelli Awards show.

I’m an experienced entertainment person that was recently paid off from my 17-year job as Senior Purchasing Manager at PRG (by an algorithm, along with 300 of my colleagues — how dehumanizing) and so here I am, networking for a new job.

Ideally, I’d like to work at a major studio as their “finder of impossible things”; that one piece of equipment, prop, set piece, paint color, flavor of gum, or whatever that must be found or the show cannot go on. I’m great under pressure — I’m at my best when I’m inundated with weird requests, at the last minute, with a live studio audience in the house.
