Tisa Key

Tisa Key is an International Award Winning Filmmaker. She is also a/Writer/Director/Producer/Author/Actor and Advocate born and raised in New York City. She had a detrimental childhood that would affect her growing up. She is a burn and a rape/molestation survivor. After several failed attempts at suicide, she has made it her mission to help others in need. Tisa’s gift is dealing with people suffering from suicidal thoughts. 2015 in Atlanta Georgia she put on her first stage play with the same title as her book, TO DIE ALONE: The Suicide Chronicles. She did this to bring awareness to the important and serious topic that many don’t like to speak about. Tisa also wanted to create dialogue for all communities, especially the Black community, when it comes to the stigma of suicide. Her mission is to help save lives, one soul at a time.

Tisa always refers to the quote “A job is what you get paid for, a calling is what you're made for.” Some people may not know that aside from being a Writer/Director/ Producer/Author/Actor, she’s also a huge advocate for suicide awareness and prevention. Contemplating suicide herself at one point, along with several friends that contemplated, attempted and that did commit suicide, this is something that she’s passionate about. This is her calling! Along with her production company T Key Filmz she plans to provide suicide awareness in a non-conventional but effective and eclectic way through the arts.

Her career is finally taking off in the direction she always wanted. This is only the beginning of what’s to come from this talented young lady. So stay tuned there’s more to see. Her goal is to take her acting and filmmaking to places no one has dared tried to explore and her time is now!
