About John

John started his career back in 2006 – after graduating from SVA and cutting his teeth editing for Discovery Health. Since then, his career has taken him from cutting food and lifestyle shows to being nominated for two Emmys for his work on Jaws: The Inside Story and John Belushi: Dancing on the Edge.

John turned his eye towards tackling his own personal journey of adoption, and documented the daunting task of reconnecting with his birth family in Finding Seoul. He then moved on to help others tell their stories in the web-series Adoptees in the Wild, over 2 seasons and 18 episodes.

John returned to his first passion for narrative stories, and wrote/directed/edited the short film, Omma. The story follows a Korean woman as she tries to fit the pieces of a broken life back together again.
