Jan Moran

I write original and adapted screenplays with strong female protagonists that appeal to domestic and international audiences. I historical (1920s to 1950s) novels for St. Martin’s Press and Random House (Scent of Triumph, The Winemakers, The Italian Chocolatier). I also write the Love, California contemporary series, which includes Flawless, Beauty Mark, Runway, Essence, Style, and other titles. My books are also available in audiobook editions and are translated into German, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Lithuanian, Russian, Polish, Bulgarian, and other languages.

I have adapted The Winemakers with a fellow screenwriter for a dramatic television series, as well as a WWII novel for film. I have also written original horror scripts. I’m expanding my catalog of books and screenplays and forming partnerships for film and television projects. For literary work, I’m represented by Jenny Bent at The Bent Agency in New York. I live in Los Angeles.
