Hello Jon, Sidne B here from Miami, Florida. Great tips and I am very appreciated. Thanks a lot and see you next week
.
Sidnei, thank you so much!
Hi Jon. I am an actor from Singapore. Thanks for the great tips you've given through your sharing. Hope to get connected with you more. Cheers
Thank you Laurence! And yes! I love this community, so feel free to reach out any time.
Good points - as always - John. Many thanks. Whenever a scene didn't go as planned for me in the room, I always ask for a 'do over', unless the CD says 'Perfect!". Everybody always has another 30 seconds, and your brain is in a different 'space' under this kind of impetus.
Thanks Steve! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and respond. I truly believe that if we act like “stars” the rooms will see us as stars - and it’s a fine line. We have to be the committed, har...

We have to be the committed, hardworking kind of stars, and not the primadonna kind of stars, but that shift will be recognized and rewarded.
I often participate in film students' auditions, usually they ask: 'Do you have any questions?' after audition. Then you can ask anything.
Thank you for sharing amazing Tips and information!
Thank you, Fuat! Appreciate that
Thank you to Jon, looking forward to what else you share in the future, also any information and tips is massively helpful especially to up and coming actors like myself.
Thank you again!
Thank you for sharing another great series Jon. Look forward to reviewing.
Always appreciate you, Tasha!
Thank you for your kind words Jon! Much appreciated.
Great perspectives, Jon! These are some good points to keep in mind, even with self-tapes -- especially the tips on stage directions, props & costumes.
Thank you William!

Chris passed away last year while riding a motorcycle. He came to our Badland Wives set with all the smiles of the world, eager to help his friends and the show. He was such an amazing person to have on our set. In honor of Chris, we've written to The Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences to include a Stunt Category at the Oscars in 2022.
Here are some stunt performers who gave their lives while on set. If you value the contributions of stuntmen of stuntwomen on your TV shows and Film sets, WRITE TO:
The Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences, Pickford Center, 1313 Vine St, Los Angeles, CA 90028 to include BEST STUNT category for the 2022 Oscars. Then watch the 93rd Academy Awards, Sun, April 25 on ABC.

Chris was a wonderful human being that brought a contagious attitude to the set and left a positive mark on everything he set his hand to. I didn't know him well but many in my circle did. This was a great loss to our industry and I hope he rests in eternal love. Godspeed, sir!
Jon, he truly was. He really was a positive force on our set, and we are not saying this only as a result of his passing heightening our senses and sensitivity to this and him. He truly and wonderfully was a remarkable human being.

Expand commentJanean, I'm sure we are not the first to bring this to the attention of the Academy. Where before this category may "not have been considered" for celebration at the Oscars, amidst these growing inquiries over the years, it's now at a point of being "omitted." From a corporate world standpoint, we realize a reason for this may be that The Academy does not want stunt actors going all-out for an Oscar, and placing themselves at further and unnecessarily risk, thereby getting careless unto additional set accidents and even deaths. The first news flash mention of "He/She was going for an Oscar" could inadvertently and understandably hurt The Academy's integrity and reputation. At the same time, an Oscar category listed as "Best Stunt & Safety Category" might be all that's required. You are definitely phrase-patently correct; where would action films be without (stuntmen/stuntwomen) action?

Things I’d like you to know about me: 1. I am the survivor of a religious cult and sexual/physical abuse, and I now use my story to connect more deeply and openly with others. My aim is always to help anyone who has felt the bitter sting of these kinds of atrocities to know they are not alone. 2. I’m currently a top 10 finalist in the Stage 32 6th Annual Television Writing Contest, with a script I wrote with my sister about our time, and ultimately, our escape from the religious cult in which we were raised. 3. I have a recurring blog here on Stage 32, Casting: An Actor’s Perspective where I share the secrets I learned by being a reader for over 10,000 auditions as a reader for different casting directors in LA. 4. If you ever meet me and feel like yelling, “you know nothing, Jon Snow!” - just know, I’m cool with it.
You have a fascinating story John! Are you planning on adapting your scripts to film or have you already?
Hey Jameson, thank you for the kind words, and I’m currently only interested in continuing to develop the story as a tv series. I have other writing projects, some of which are meant to be for film.
That is a big story Jon, and I imagine theres been years of adjusting. Kudos.
Thank you for another great piece Jon. I will keep it in mind for personal and potential talent for my projects.
Thank you, Tasha!
