Jan Jacklin

With over 40 productions under her belt as an actor or producer, Jan realized it was time to enter the world of playwright. Realizing that stage scripts offering meaty roles for actors over the age of 55 were far and few between, she decided to take the bull by the horn and create a few for community and professional theatre companies. Jan's plays deal with challenges common to everyday people who are entering the better half of their lives. Using her own life experiences, as well as those she has had the pleasure or not pleasure to know, for creating habits, opinions and a new lack of inhibitions that comes with aging, creates characters and stories with wit and humour.
