Love everything about this log line and the 1-sheet image. If I would suggest tweaking anything, I'd say the theme is missing from the Log Line. You say that they tragically lose a friend, but the genre is crime, and this is giving me more drama vibes i.e. "If Beale Street Could talk". But great job!
