About Grisha

Born in Kishinev, Moldova (a former republic of USSR), Grisha completed his elementary and High School education, while also pursuing a professional career as a soccer player.

In 1989, together with his family, Grisha immigrated to the US, at first settling in Cleveland Hgts, Ohio. But after a quick trip to Brooklyn, NY, to visit friends, they decided to move there for a few years before later moving to Los Angeles...
While in LA, Grisha tried his luck at modeling and make-up artistry.
It was a great start and began to peak, but they were to move again, this time back to NY..

To continue on his modeling and performing path, Grisha, together with his sister (who followed in his footsteps), began training with acting coaches in NYC, such as, Ron Millkie, Penny Templeton and others. This led to performing on an Off-Broadway stage in NY.
Soon after, Grisha got cast in his first film role, “The Taxman”, together with his then icon, Michael Chiklis and Elizabeth Berkley.

In 2002, Grisha wanted to get a more professional theatre education and with support from his parents, applied to GITIS (Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts) in Moscow, Russia.
It is known to be one of the most prestigious theatre academies in the world. Grisha was accepted into their four year program as an international student.

After graduating from GITIS, he starred in numerous films and TV shows in Russia, Europe and the US.

His most recent film, “Alina”, which was written, directed and produced by the legendary Ben Barenholtz, Grisha plays a villain. Despite being cast as a villain regularly,(which is very opposite of his true character), he dreams of one day portraying a kind German soldier and working opposite his doppelgänger, Javier Bardem.

Today, Grisha studies with the acting coach of the stars, Gregory Berger-Sobeck (from Berg Studios) and can be found between Moscow, NY and LA working on various projects.

Although he never became that professional soccer player, he followed in his father’s footsteps and received his license with the NY State Soccer Referee Association, so when he’s not on set acting, he’s on the field playing the role of referee.

He is a proud father to two very handsome and know-it-all teenagers. Divorced.
