Maureen Koech is a multiple award winning actress, content producer,
musician and creative born, raised and based in Nairobi, Kenya. She has
had a long and rich history working professionally in the arts in a little
over a decade. She has been a part of numerous onscreen productions,
most notably Lies that Bind, Changing Times, Maisha Magic's Varshita,
Arnold & Bundi, Zee International's Deceptive Measures, Family Meeting,
The Extremities, most recently, Rise of the Phoenix, and more. She has
been active in content production through Relic House; a motion picture
production company she has founded and has three Episodic titles
under her name, Age of Grace, a comedy drama series, 'The Extremities', a
musical fantasy; comedy-drama web series as well as her own premiere
Vlog series titled 'Through My Lens' that gives inspirational insights
through her life journey and career in real time running online and on
Kass TV. In 2021, she was nominated entertainment founder of the year
at the Pan-African FOYA Platform that seeks to shine a light upon
upcoming, young founders in Africa. She was also recently nominated
best TV Comedy producer for her web series show 'The Extremities' at
the prestigious Kalasha Awards 2021. Maureen is committed to creating
and recreating positive and empowering African narratives to foster
creativity and sustainability locally, regionally and internationally.
Her musical sound would be described as fresh and downright flowy get up and dance Afro Pop and Afro house music with an up tempo groove bearing an enigmatic stream of musical consciousness, lyrical strength and intuition.
She hopes to be a part of many more local and international productions to come.
