SYNOPSIS:

SCOTT LARIMER's eyes blink open. Blood is matted in his hair. He is tied to a bed. Desperately, he searches his memory for how he got here. Struggling, he turns his head and vomits on the floor. Instantly, the door opens and JASMINE COYNE a pretty woman late twenties, enters with a pan and towels. "Don't you just hate when that happpens?" She says cheerily as she cleans him up.

"How did I get here?" He pleads.

"Uh-oh" says Jasmine ."Retrograde amnesia. It's from the concussion. It'll all come back to you.

We learn that Scott is the brash creative director at a boutique ad agency. Feeling pumped after a successful pitch, he had taken pretty client rep ANNE GUSTAFSON to dinner. Searching for parking at her condo, Scott pulled into a 'space reserved' for somebody else to impress her with his rule-breaking bravado.

In Anne's flat, their attraction ends in lovemaking. Scott awakens at 3 a.m. and sneaks out.

But he finds his tires deflated and a nasty note on his car. His phone is drained, he has no pump. Unwilling to slink back and wake up Anne, he decides to confront the owner of the space and charm them into lending him their phone.

Nobody responds to his knock, but when the door falls open a crack, he sees a phone on the coffee table. Scott advances silently into the darkness.

Suddenly, young ALLISON VANDERVEER appears, pleading for her life. As Scott turns to escape, JASMINE enters and admits deflating his tires as a joke.

Now they won't let him go: "citizens arrest." They're going to call the police on him.

When Scott makes a break for the door, there is a struggle and Jasmine clubs him unconscious with an exercise weight.

Time passes. The women take care of him, feeding and bathing him, treatinghis wound. Jasmine is sympathetic but Allison hates him and both blame men like him for abuse, betrayal, etc. in their own shattered lives. As hours and days pass, alliances emerge and boundaries blur.

Meanwhile, Scott's absence from work doesn't arouse much concern: The women charge Scott's phone and hide his car. He learns that people at work have moved on without him on his projects. He is actually isolated and estranged from others and from his family. He seems likeable and successful on the outside --- but something is wrong with him. The women seem to know it. they keep pushing him to "be honest."

When his date, Anne, appears at the door, Scott thinks he is saved. But Anne turns out to be the mastermind. It had been her idea for Scott to park in the reserved space.

Now, she reminds Scott of an incident in 6th grade when he and his friends had lured 'Terri'--- the class’s prettiest girl --- to a remote area of the playground and held her hostage. Just a prank, he insists. Anne was that girl.

“We had a crush on you, that’s all.” But Scott now recalls that Terri /Anne was raped. The boys had debated whether to kill her and leave her on the playground. They swore an oath of secrecy. They think nobody would suspect them.

The boys finally settle for threatening her family if she tells on them and let her go. Traumatized, Terri keeps the secret. Her family eventually moves away. The boys go on with their lives.

Now, Scott pleads with Terri/Anne. "We loved you. We didnt' mean to hurt you. We lost control." She cannot remember whether Scott raped her. He swears his innocence.

Terri/Anne reveals that her life had been shattered by the incident; she became self-destructive and suicidal. When she met Allison and Jasmine in a mental hospital, they plotted revenge on Scott, the ringleader.

Now Scott wonders: is he really a monster? The women don't know how to get out of this situation and debate killing him and dumping him and his car in a remote area.

But Scott reconnects with his dark side. He manipulates Jasmine into lovemaking and chokes her unconscious. As he tries to escape, Allison shoots him in the leg; he hears sirens and all goes black.

The police, confronted with differing stories, eventually drop all charges.

But he can't rest. We see him drive to another apartment complex and pull into a ‘reserved’ space. Jasmine answers the door. This may not be the first time he has compulsively reenacted his captivity. He is a prisoner of his own obsession.
