Graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in English. My short stories and feature articles have appeared in McSweeney's, The Guardian. Gawker, Hollywood Dementia, Epoch, Cimarron Review, Hobart, Crack the Spine, The Pedestal Magazine, Writing Disorder, The Piltdown Review, 5:21 Magazine, Thoughtful Dog, Drunk Monkeys, Blunderbuss Magazine, JONAH Magazine, Eclectica, The Boiler, Fictive Dream, The Mantelpiece, Thieving Magpie, Coffin Bell. and Lifelines, the literary journal of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
I was nominated for Pushcart Prizes in fiction in 2016 and 2021, and won first prize in The Writers Place competition, as well as placing in the Top Ten, and semifinals of other contests, such as 2nd place in American Gem and top ten percent in the recent Los Angeles International Screenplay Competition, Semifinalist in the Table Read My Screenplay -- Park City 2024. I have one film produced, shown in theaters and reviewed in the NY Times and LA Times, Village Voice etc,. and my short story published in Epoch, Cornell Univ. literary mag is currently under option to Sony and director Brad Furman.
Unique traits: I work blogging Artificial Intelligence for startups in Silicon Valley and have insight into science, software security, and AI. I can write sci-fi, true crime, and humor. I'm a journalist who has interviewed DA's on major Santa Cruz crime cases. I have written two published novels, two novellas, and lots of published short stories. None of my work is self-published.
