Masha Sapron

Masha began her career in the arts reciting Pushkin in Russia on top of a coffee table in her communal kitchen. Escaping the iron curtain, an outsider, Masha was shunned to the sidelines clutching her kielbasa sandwiches in huge brown grocery bags. Changing her name to Marsha to mask her Soviet inception, she realized she couldn’t escape from her roots on her pink huffy into the sunset. After college she licked foie gras from the corners of her mouth along with France’s top food critics as the managing editor for a restaurant guide in Paris. Back in New York she performed on black box stages and eventually found her way to the yoga stage. Saluting the sun and Om-ing the days away, she got her “masters” from YogaWorks. She spent more time in the car driving to potential yoga clients then actually working. Her paycheck, woefully, was not enough to purchase even a headband at lululemon. How she was going to be real yoga teacher without the right clothes?
Somewhere in the 3am darkness at the cross roads between cloth diapers and clogged milk ducts Masha unlatched her twin babies, tucked in her older daughter and started writing comedy about life’s most terrifying creation. Her parenting adventures have been featured on the Today show with Hoda and Kathie Lee and her last video was viewed more than 11M times. She also writes vampires movies, children’s books and TV yoga pilots all the while giving voice to the female underdog.
