Evan Laszlo

Hello,

Please allow me to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Evan Laszlo and I have just completed my final semester of my Master's program in Music Technology and Digital Media at the University of Toronto.

Music and sound is my biggest passion in life. It's what I live and breathe and I can't ever imagine doing anything else. I've been told all my life that I have perfect pitch. Having the opportunity to work with you, learn, grow, and improve would be a dream come true.

No task is too big -- or too small. I am simply eager for the opportunity to apply my commitment, passion, skills and enthusiasm for audio, music, recording and technology to new opportunities.

A bit about me;

I have experienced all areas of audio and music for various productions such as video games (scoring, Foley etc), short films for web and television (location sound, scoring, ADR, mixing, editing, sound design and others between 3 and 25 minutes in length), a web series pilot (location sound), a short online advertisement (music) and others. Some of these have shown in film festivals across North America.

Much of my work is done in Pro Tools HD 12, but I am experienced in Logic Pro, Ableton and others as well.

I also have experience using Waves plugins (such as the 360 bundle working in 5.1 surround and ambisonics) and the iZotope post-production suite. I have also worked with video game audio software such as Fmod and Unity, and have extensive experience with VSTs, plugins, sample libraries (such as Kontakt and others) and vocal editing tools like Melodyne and Auto-Tune and sound design with Omnisphere and more.

Versatility in a large range of audio and music areas is something I strive for and am passionate about. I graduated with my undergrad honours degree from Guelph University with a Minor in Music, and completed a semester abroad in 2016 with Berklee College of Music (Valencia location) studying both music production/sound design and video production as part of their Music Production, Technology and Innovation program. I have also continuously upgraded and added to my skills and knowledge by taking a number of courses, workshops etc including some with LIFT, RAC, and even an internship last summer with TA2 Sound and Music.
