With the recent revolution of the African theatre and after obtaining a Diploma in Film making at Central Film School London, I was a strategic part of the creative team that produced and promoted the Blockbuster African movie “Last Flight to Abuja” with the award winning film maker Obi Emelonye.
Next I was an associate producer for a British war documentary called “Divided by race united by war and peace”. A documentary supported by the British Film Institute and funded by The National Lottery the testimonies of 13 surviving black men and women 2nd world war veterans, who risked their lives to serve under the British flag, and then faced a second battle – their right to remain British citizens.
After that, I went on to produce Obi Emelonye’s indigenous Igbo movie ‘Onye Ozi (The Messenger)’, winning the African Magic Viewer’s Choice Award Best Indigenous Language film, a proud moment for me.
Now I’m ready to tell stories from an educative and enlightenment perspective, with the aim to tap into the cultural and historical ideas of the 'African' and showcase our roots and transitional values in a glamorous way. Let’s tell it together and continue to make history.
