A group of children, led by a boy with the ability to see the future, embark on an intergalactic adventure to rescue one of their own from alien captors, and successfully meet up with the grandfather of the boy who can see the future - and their joint powers save the universe.
SYNOPSIS:
In a dimly lit room, a baby named Keung points at strange images flashing across the walls, including a UFO landing, aliens, underwater pyramids, and various historical events. Twelve years later, at a museum dedication ceremony for ancient Chinese artifacts, Keung meets Lulu Wright, the daughter of the museum’s founder, Randall Wright. Keung experiences a vision of aliens when he approaches a display of mysterious metal shards, and his younger friend Bo witnesses the flashing images in the bathroom where Keung has retreated.
Keung, along with his new friends Ian, Rick, Bo, and Lulu, bond over their shared interest in aliens and UFO sightings. They discuss Keung’s grandfather’s research on the impact of words on water molecules and conduct experiments to demonstrate this effect. Keung attempts to communicate with his missing grandfather, Da Cheng, who insists he cannot return due to his work.
The children visit Lulu’s house, where Keung believes a sound booth could enhance his ability to project images. In an attempt to create a sensory-deprivation tank, Keung and Bo inadvertently project images of alien children in bubbles. The situation turns terrifying when Bo disappears into a larger bubble, leaving the children in shock and fear.
Desperate to find Bo, the children break into the sound booth in Lulu’s father’s house, where they encounter a blue-skinned alien in a hoodie. The alien takes them on a spaceship, revealing that Bo was mistakenly taken by captors who believed he could see the future, when in fact, it is Keung who possesses this ability.
The alien and the children embark on a mission to rescue Bo, traveling through wormholes to the Andromeda galaxy and landing on a planet called PA-99-N2. They collect a dangerous gelatinous compound from a cave, which is the only substance that can harm the aliens holding Bo captive. Despite facing monstrous eel-shaped fish, they manage to rescue Bo and free other imprisoned aliens.
Aboard the spaceship, the children celebrate their victory and Ian’s birthday. The alien takes them to a secret location in New Mexico, where they discover a massive glass geodesic dome housing a giant spaceship, humans navigating through galaxies in simulators, and robots tending to plant-filled cylinders.
Keung’s grandfather, Da, reveals that he is half-alien and that Keung has inherited the ability to see the future from him. Da explains that Keung’s visions are of a possible future, but it can be changed by making good choices. They are suddenly alerted to an attack by predators seeking the universe’s resources, and with the help of Da, Keung, and Bo, they manage to reactivate the robots to fight the predators.
The children are sent back home, their memories of the adventure erased by the alien named Biff. Bo wakes up in his room, finding a remnant of their space adventure in his pocket- a piece of paper that held a piece of pizza - and it's still steaming - leaving Bo to wonder about the reality of their incredible journey.
