About Ellen

Ellen Doyle Mizener is an award-winning Scenic Designer, Production Designer, Scenic Artist, Specialty Prop Artist and Costume Designer with credits in the United States and abroad. A seasoned designer, Mizener has earned a reputation as a generous, thoughtful, creative, active collaborator. As a visual storyteller she has been strongly influenced by many years of living in Europe and Africa, and extensive travel around the globe. In addition to designing the United States National Exhibit for the Prague Quadrennial 2019, she has credits in film and is an educator with 30+ years experience. She holds an MFA in Theater from the University of Houston (Scenic and Costume Design), where she was a Cynthia Woods Mitchell Fellow.
