About Justin

My journey into storytelling began at Benue State University, where I pursued Theatre and Film Studies from 2008 to 2012. The program provided a solid foundation and ignited my passion for screenwriting, directing, acting. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to exploring the rich and diverse world of narrative creation.

My career has allowed me to work on a variety of exciting projects across both film and stage. In film, I have written, produced, and directed Race Against Time and Oma & Juma (where I also scripted the story), and directed Circle of the Moon. Additionally, I have featured in significant productions such as Inale and Black November. On stage, I directed Hard Choice and designed the set for Waterpoint, showcasing my versatility and commitment to crafting immersive and engaging experiences.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to seamlessly integrate complex character development with rich, engaging narratives. This skill allows me to create multifaceted characters whose journeys resonate with audiences, while also crafting storylines that challenge and captivate. My work often explores themes of [e.g., cultural identity, social justice, personal resilience, and human connection], and I am passionate about using storytelling to provoke thought and inspire change.

I am particularly drawn to styles that blend dramatic realism with elements of surrealism or historical context, allowing for a nuanced exploration of contemporary and historical issues. By merging these styles with my deep understanding of character-driven narratives, I strive to bring a fresh perspective to every project.

Looking ahead, I am excited to continue working on innovative and thought-provoking projects that challenge conventions and resonate deeply with audiences. My goal is to create impactful stories, push creative boundaries, or collaborate with other talented professionals in the industry.

Outside of my professional work, I am passionate about creative writing, attending film festivals, or exploring historical drama. I also enjoy [another hobby, e.g., photography, which helps me capture visual narratives, or playing musical instruments, which enriches my understanding of rhythm and storytelling]. These interests provide me with new inspiration and ideas for my projects.

I am thrilled to be part of the Stage 32 community and look forward to connecting with fellow creatives who share my passion for storytelling and the arts.
